Privacy Policy
Marquee Poker ("we", "our", "the service") is operated to help poker rooms run live tournaments and cash-game waitlists. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — email address (used as your sign-in identity via magic link).
- Profile data you provide — display name, organization name, role within an organization, optional name details (first / middle / last) for team members.
- Tournament + cash-game operational data — player names you enter into your roster, optional player contact info (phone, email, address) you choose to record, tournament configuration, blind structures, payouts, transactions (buy-ins, rebuys, add-ons), seat assignments, chip counts you record.
- Activity log — server-side audit log of operator actions (player added, eliminated, seated, etc.) with the actor's user id and a timestamp. Retained indefinitely for tournament integrity.
- Browser context — when you submit a bug report, your browser user-agent string, viewport size, and the page URL where the bug was hit, so we can reproduce and fix the issue.
- Service-worker cache — your browser keeps a local copy of pages and assets to keep the app responsive and partly functional during a brief network outage. This cache is on your device only.
2. How we use it
- To operate the service — render dashboards, run tournaments, sync state across paired displays.
- To enforce account access (sign-in, role-based permissions within an organization).
- To respond to support requests you initiate via the in-app feedback or bug-report flows.
- To investigate operational issues using diagnostic logs, when problems are reported.
- We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data.
3. Where data is stored
The service is hosted on:
- Supabase — Postgres database, authentication, file storage. Data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure (currently US-region).
- Netlify — static-asset hosting + edge delivery for the web app shell.
- Google Fonts — font files served from Google's CDN. Your browser hits Google's servers when first loading a page; we don't share your account data with Google.
4. Data sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties except:
- With our infrastructure providers (above) as necessary to operate the service.
- To comply with a valid legal request (court order, subpoena, etc.).
- With your explicit consent for a specific purpose.
5. Data retention
Account data and tournament data is retained as long as your account is active. If you close your account or your organization, soft-deleted records are kept for up to 30 days for recovery purposes, then hard-deleted. Audit-log entries (the activity log) are retained indefinitely for tournament integrity but contain no PII beyond an actor user id and event metadata.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and personal data ("right to erasure").
- Export your organization's data ("data portability") — we ship a self-serve export for this.
- Object to specific uses of your data.
To exercise any of these rights, email us via the in-app feedback flow. We aim to respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies + local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage strictly for service operation: session tokens (so you stay signed in), preferences (e.g. your "Hide empty tables" toggle), and a service-worker cache for offline resilience. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.
8. Children
The service is intended for adult operators of poker tournaments and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we'll post a new version with an updated date. Existing users will be prompted to re-accept on next sign-in.
